While planning her wedding in 2005, Shannon Billeaud was struggling to find high quality custom gifts for her bridesmaids.  In a car ride home from dinner one night she expressed to her family that she wanted to open a company specializing in unique personalized gifts.  With their love and support, First Comes Love was born.   

Born and raised in South Louisiana, Shannon was surrounded by a creative family; however, one particular person was her inspiration in starting the company.  Esther, Shannon’s 92 year old grandmother had been sewing all her life.  Some of Shannon’s fondest childhood memories were of her grandmother hand sewing children’s clothing and bonnets.  She remembered the excitement and joy on peoples faces as they picked up their gifts.  For this was not just any gift but a custom gift not found in stores; these gifts were heirlooms to be handed down through generations.   

In 2006, Shannon dedicated her efforts into expanding First Comes Love from custom handcrafted items such as baby gifts, children’s clothing and wedding gifts to a full service company with not only the unique gifts listed above but additional items such as totes, diaper bags, blankets, backpacks, towel wraps, duffle bags and much more.
